Company Profile

Business History

ALL FAB QLD was established on The Sunshine Coast in 1995, principally as a manufacturer of Security Screens, Balustrades & Sliding Gates. In 2006, the Coleman Family took up ownership, re-focusing the direction of the company towards fully integrating premium-standard architectural products. As a result, ALL FAB QLD has reached a pre-eminent position in the market, gaining the confidence of private clients, architects, and builders alike.

ALL FAB QLD is also a significant employer. Our team represents a full-time workforce of approximately 10 people. Importantly, the company’s policy on skills development and training takes a high priority, with apprentice’s making up a significant part of our team.

If there’s a vision for ALL FAB QLD, it’s perhaps best summed up by its Managing Directors, Brian & Breanna Coleman:

"What we manufacture is our future. We respect our clients, suppliers and employees because their satisfaction is what makes our reputation. There’s no such thing as a short cut to quality. The future for ALL FAB QLD is all about delivering the best quality, on time, every time."

Manager History

ALL FAB’s Managing Director, Brian Coleman, began his career in 1990 as a very determined apprentice, working for Australia’s leading stainless steel fabrication company. He diligently learned his craft, and went on to serve the company for 17 years. With his unshakeable commitment to excel in his chosen field, 1994 saw him take first place in the Regional Work Skills and Australian Work Skills Competition in sheet metal. Brian was well and truly on his way to establishing himself as a formidable craftsman. In 1995 he competed in the International Youth Skills Olympics in Lyon, France - ranking 4th in the world - and receiving a diploma of excellence in sheet metal. In 1996 he won a Big Brother Scholarship, which opened the way to gaining experience in the manufacturing industry, working in England. His path to excellence continued in 1997, when he won a Queensland Overseas Foundation Scholarship, with 4 months of R&D work experience with the Welbilt Group in Toronto, Canada.

As a tradesperson, Brian has built up extensive experience on a broad range of projects, including the fabrication of stainless steel benching, commercial food equipment, bars, balustrades, marine accessories, store fixtures for use in retail applications, and specialised architectural designs in aluminium and stainless steel. Among his notable assignments as a Site Installer, were projects for Queensland Newspapers, Chifley Square – Sydney, and Governor Macquarie Tower - Sydney.

Working for 5 years as a project supervisor, Brian handled the Cairns Convention Centre, undertook precision demands of major fit-outs in the USA, including 25 Virgin Records Megastores and 45 Federated Department Stores. And in the South Pacific, his work on Gucci Stores achieved special regard.

As a Production Manager for 4 years, before moving into his own business, he co-ordinated over 70 floor staff in the demanding manufacture of commercial food equipment and store fixture systems.

Notably, among Brian’s other achievements is his volunteer work promoting excellence in the trade. In the Regional, National and International Worldskills Youth Competitions, he held a highly regarded position as chief expert. In 2007, he held the position of expert in the International Sheet Metal Worldskills competition in Shizuoka, Japan. He also designed the last four Australian Sheet Metal projects, and was deputy chief expert at the 2009 International project in Calgary, Canada. He is also looking forward to 2011, where he will hold the position of chief expert and project designer in London.

At the heart of Brian’s passion is a vision that was set in train as an apprentice, learning the craft from the ground up. As a result, he’s committed himself to a programme of ‘giving back’ for the future of his craft, with a policy to train future craftsmen to the highest standards possible. Brian’s desire to excel in customer service, develop creatively, and to set new challenges for himself and ALL FAB QLD, has brought him to a position of high esteem in the industry.
